Issues

GP has defined these four policy priorities as “The Issues of the Generation.”

  • Clean Energy: Renewable sources and an advanced electical grid
  • Urban Fabric: Cities for the people who live in them, not the cars that drive through them
  • Food Politics: Eradicating urban "fresh-food deserts"
  • Respected America: Living by our common values and leading by example

Throughout 2010, Generation Progress will host one major fundraiser focusing on each of these four issues. The proceeds from each will go to a Congressional candidate who we believe will make real progress toward the goals we are advocating.

GP’s Political Affairs team is tasked with refining these issues into endorsement criteria and selecting endorsees. If policy and politics are your thing, then Political Affairs is the place to be. Look out for P.A. meetings on the GP Google Calendar, or send an e-mail to chairman@generationprogress.org and let Michael know you’d like to be on the team.

You can also give input by attending a Discourse event or any of the meetings listed on our Google Calendar. There will certainly be debate about “The Issues of the Generation” at any members event, new members event, or open house in the coming months.
